Push start and find a
safe stance
You have to push start the Mellow Drive before you start accelerating. This not only saves battery capacity, it positions your in safer stance to anticipate acceleration. Put one foot on your board, give a kick, and then with both feet on the board, bend your knees and slide the Mellow remote slowly forward.
Take your time to get used to acceleration and braking
The Mellow Drive features the most advanced dual braking system for skateboards, feeding energy back into the battery and dissipating too much energy as heat. Though it does NOT work with hydraulic brakes. It is an electro-mechanical brake that can possibly switch off i.e. when there is too much energy/heat generation due to very long downhill braking or Bluetooth interference due to strong electromagnetic fields caused by other devices. This is why you should not skate faster than a speed where you can safely stop without relying on the electrical brakes. Start slowly and get to learn the braking ability of the Mellow Drive.

riding mode
The Mellow Drives is suitable for all riders. It is is programmed with 4 different riding modes to adapt to a variety of situations.
Smooth acceleration and braking. With a topspeed of 10km/h perfect for beginners.
Swifter acceleration. At 25km/h maximum it offers a nice cruising speed.
Strong acceleration up to 40km/h. For advanced riders and adrenaline junkies only!
This mode offers the most authentic ride. You push and the motor just supports your pace for a while like a cruise control, top speed 25 km/h.
